John Coloso is the President of Alterpower Digos Solar, Inc. (ADSI) since June 2022. Under his leadership, the Digos Solar Power Plant successfully completed its major rehabilitation and significantly improved the plant’s available capacity, reliability, safety and financial performance. He is also concurrently the Head of Operations of Belgrove Power Corporation.

Prior to joining ADSI, John spent the past 20 years in Alberta, Canada where he established a consulting practice specializing in project management in the Canadian upstream oil and gas sector and co-founded another consulting firm focused on renewable energy development. Prior to immigrating to Canada, John was the GM of Asian Petroleum Corporation’s (APC) Petroleum Trading Operations, Head of Planning and Business Development of Philcom Corporation, and Investment Officer of APC Group Inc. He was also a design engineer at PNOC-EDC prior to attending the Asian Institute of Management.

John is a licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Alberta, Canada and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He earned a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Development from the University of Calgary in 2018 and a Masters in Business Management from the Asian Institute of Management in 1997. He received his Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology in 1989. He was a licensed engineer in the Philippines from 1989 to 2002.
